About

About five years ago, James DiBartolo had a vision: after decades in the food business in New York and New Jersey, he was ready to retire. Together with his wife, two daughters, and son, he moved from his longtime home in the northeast to the West Palm Beach area, ready to spend his days golfing and fishing.

That lasted about six months. Mr. DiBartolo sunk into the Florida lifestyle easily enough, but after a while, he noticed a need in the area for the high-quality Italian foods he had gotten so used to having access to up north. He had trouble finding what he needed to cook with and realized that local Italian restaurants and new Italian-American arrivals were almost certainly experiencing similar woes.

There was only one thing to do - go back into the business.

Mr. DiBartolo soon founded DiBartolo’s Wholesale Food Warehouse, a Floridian extension of his long-standing company South Jersey Food Brokers, which was established in New Jersey in 1980 and built up by working closely with various companies, growers, and factories across Italy to bring high quality imported Italian wholesale products to the southern region of New Jersey. The business’s name was changed to South Florida Food Brokers to reflect the DiBartolos’ new home.

Today, DiBartolo’s offers a truly one-of-a-kind stock of Italian food products for everyone in the Palm Beach County area, serving everyone from local restaurants, catering venues, breweries, grocery stores, markets, and major cruise lines based out of South Florida to the home cook in search of hard-to-find Italian ingredients. Whether you’re looking for a few ingredients to round out a dish at home or searching for a new vendor of high-quality Italian wholesale products, DiBartolo’s Wholesale Food Warehouse has you covered.
